The mission sled was also designed by SIGMA members on a CAD modeling program. It was cut from the same type of aluminum as the ROV frame, and conveniently bolts to the lower portion of the machine. Mounting holes for adding ballast as necessary are located along the bottom edge of the sled. The mission sled contains two specialized tools to complete the tasks put forth by our client, as well as the manipulator. Though the sled is also designed to have the capability to carry other tools should SIGMA refit project ΣVII to suit the needs of another client.
